6. How much of my time will be spent working in the project and what other activities can I get involved in?

We will develop a personalised programme with you and we will have the opportunity to discuss with you your preferences and skills before you arrive and during your orientation in order to match these with the needs of the projects we support. Usually volunteers work on at least 2 projects.

Each week you will be given a personalised shedule.

You may have time to study Spanish and also to do some sight seeing and relax.

You will have at least 2 days off a week and you can also request long weekends off to do trips to the Amazon or the Salt Flats for example. All we ask, is that you let us know a week in advance so that we cna take this into account in our planning and communication with the local projects.

We encourage you to make the most of the city of La Paz which is vibrantĀ  and there is a rich and diverse cultural life. There are excellent museums, art house cinemas, live music venues and, of course, in the evenings a wonderful selections of bars and discos which must be some of the friendliest in the world.

We will be very happy to help you book tickets and share with you our own tips and advice for trips further afield to the Salt Flats of Uyuni, the Amazon, Sucre, the tropical valleys etc.
